Miriam is an extremely well educated, passionate saddle fitter. Her extensive knowledge about equine anatomy as well as the specifics of saddle fit make her the obvious top choice as a fitter. She came out to work on my dressage saddle - not only giving my horse the proper fit, but talking me through every step of the process- his anatomy, his tracings, and of course, the saddle itself. Miriam took the time to make sure everything was perfect- I never felt rushed in my ride or like I couldn't ask questions. She took her time and it was a very beneficial appointment. She is not a dealer - she does not force any sales, she simply shares her honest, educated opinion on how to proceed to make it best for horse and rider.

I met Miriam back in October. I had started back riding after a 4 year hiatus. I started having behavior problems, I figured my 12 year old was have regrets coming out of retirement. The first thing Miriam did when she came out was to check my saddle. It had been poorly flocked in the past and was very hard and lumpy. I had it reflocked, thinking that was going to help. Nope, he was still exhibiting bad behavior to the point I was considering putting him back into retirement. Miriam and I were perplexed but determined to figure out why he was behaving the way he was acting. We called in a vet that specializes in equine sport medicine. Watching him go it was determined with his age, we had changes in his hocks, so we had them injected. Obviously that was a big part of our problem, but he was still resisting me. Undaunted, Miriam brought out several saddles for me to try. I rode in one, and the difference was like night and day. I had my old horse back, one that was willing and happy to work. Long story, but I just wanted to sing Miriam's praises. She persevered with me in finding the right saddle that made my horse happy. Not only is he happy in his work, but my position has improved also. A win, win for both of us. I highly recommend Miriam for finding the right fit and saddle for your horse. - Kathleen Crosby

I've been waiting to write this review until Miriam was finally satisfied that I had the perfect saddle and fit for Percy and me. She did an awesome job helping me do just that. I have worked with saddle fitters before. Including both of her primary educators and I can say they did a wonderful job teaching her. And she will teach you quite a lot about saddles and equine anatomy as she works her magic. Over the course of three separate sessions, we tried all three of my saddles, at least half a dozen saddles that she had, and two saddles that I had taken on trial from an Internet saddle importer. We ultimately decided on one of those trial saddles, which she then flocked to fit Percy's back. He is much happier in his new saddle which makes me very happy too!
